David Rubin M.D. is a board-certified neurological surgeon by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
Dr. Rubin specializes in disorders of the spine and treating patients suffering from pain or other symptoms affecting the low back, neck, arms and legs. While Dr. Rubin utilizes the most up-to-date diagnostic and surgical techniques he still believes the most important part of medicine is communication with his patients. His career in neurosurgery started early. As an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia, Dr. Rubin worked with the Department of Neurosurgery researching treatments for victims of head trauma and shadowing busy neurosurgeons in the OR and clinic. After graduating from the University of Virginia with distinction, Dr. Rubin attended medical school at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. As a senior medical student he served as a mentor and tutor in anatomy, pharmacology, pathology and other subjects. He was awarded a USC Salerni Collegium academic scholarship and elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA).
Dr. Rubin completed his neurosurgical training at the prestigious Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Weill Cornell Neurosurgery is consistently ranked among the very best in the nation in US News and World Report annual rankings. Throughout his career Dr. Rubin has been involved in neurosurgery research and has published a number of papers in peer-reviewed medical journals.
